THIS DOG MADE HISTORY LAST WEEK
Take a good look at this dog. His name is Koby and he is the first self-trained service dog to be allowed to come to high school in all of Ontario and maybe all of Canada. He is a prodigy; a pioneer. He was cleared last week.
I rescued him from an abusive family on October 3rd, 2012. Since then he has been my constant and vice-versa. I have been through some tough times and he was always there to lick my face.
Through rigorous training, hours of research and months of endless phone calls, he became a service dog to help me with extreme anxiety.
This blog is not about service dogs, however, but celebrating the dogs that surround us in our lives. My goal is to do something extra-special with Koby each week, photograph it and post it for all you guys to see. Hopefully together we can end animal abuse and give dogs the credit they deserve! J
